An estimated 19,000 STEM Jobs are available in metro Atlanta

Forbes.com has recently released their list of hottest cities for STEM jobs and Atlanta comes in at #9.

Forbes teamed-up with job search website Indeed.com to create the list of 10 cities with the most currently available STEM related openings.These are jobs that require an education or training in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

The Top 10 (with estimated STEM job openings):

1.New York 48,000 openings

2.Washington D.C. 39,000 openings

3.San Jose 31,000 openings

4.San Francisco 27,000 openings

5.Boston 25,000 openings

6.Chicago 22,000 openings

7.Los Angeles 22,000 openings

8.Houston 22,000 openings

9.Atlanta 19,000 openings

10.Dallas 19,000 openings
