Operation Homefront Provides Assistance to Georgia Military Families

In Honor of Military Month, Georgia Public Broadcasting is highlighting an organization dedicated to serving those who serve us. Operation Homefront was established in February 2002 and currently provides services to military families across the nation with 23 locations serving 43 states. Services include food assistance, home and auto repair, vision care, and financial assistance. Operation Homefront has met over 800, 000 family needs, and those numbers continue to grow every day.
Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom leave behind their family and domestic responsibilities. Many come back wounded and in need. That’s when Operation Homefront steps in to help.
GPB spoke with a few metro Atlanta families who expressed gratitude for the assistance they received from Operation Homefront.
