Goodwill Industries has Opened a New Career Center in Midland, GA

Goodwill Industries of Southern Rivers serves 50 counties in west Georgia and east Alabama.

The organization will host a Job Fair July 9th in Midland, GA.

Employers such as Columbus Consolidated Government, Wells Fargo, Pezold Management, Alatrade, Manpower, and the Columbus Police Department will attend the event.

Goodwill Industries offers job search services to local residents including, free 1-on-1 job coaching, access to computers, printers, faxes and classes to facilitate job placement and advancement.

According to a report from Columbus TV station WTVM, Goodwill Career Center manager Luis Garcia says the new Midland Career Center will be a driver for job creation.

“With the new Career Center, we will be able to provide the community with more opportunities to look for work,” he said. “Not only are we able to connect people with jobs, but we are also able to provide new options for community members to utilize our services. We are offering modified hours to better meet our clients schedules and more classes to help people make that change in their life they are searching for.”
