Shaw Carpet is Hiring Again - with the Help of the Georgia Department of Labor

A resurgent carpet industry means more jobs for northwest Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Labor is teaming up with Shaw Industries, one of the world’s largest flooring manufacturers, for a career fair in Whitfield County.

The career fair event will be held Wednesday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dalton career center, located at 1406 Chattanooga Ave. The company will be filling a number of carpet-related manufacturing jobs including yarn extrusion operators, coaters and tufting machine operators.
