GameStop is hiring 17,000 seasonal employees nationwide.

As the holidays approach, stores are hiring for seasonal employees.

GameStop, voted "2012 100 Best Retailers To Work For" is going to hire 17,000 employees nationwide for the holiday season and for the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console launches.

“The holiday season is our busiest time of the year, accounting for approximately 40% of our annual revenue. As we near the 2013 holiday season, and the upcoming launches of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, it is critical that we attract and retain high quality-talent both in our stores as well as in our consumer electronics refurbishment and distribution centers,” says Mike Buskey, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at GameStop.

Seasonal jobs with GameStop offer employees part-time, flexible work schedules during the week, weeknights and weekends. An additional perk is that all employees receive a 15 percent discount off select merchandise.
