Livability.com has released its 2014 Top 100 Best Places to Live. They look at small to mid-sized cities and examine what makes a city a great place to work and visit. Factors such as walkability, transportation, urban planning and cultural amenities play a role on how the cities are ranked.
Columbus was ranked #74 on Livability’s annual report and is the only Georgia city to be listed. According to Livability, Columbus is a smaller, diverse city with a young population consisting of singles, young families, and mostly homeowners. Also, Columbus is close to major sports teams and nearby colleges.
