Each Friday I post upcoming job fairs and career events that are happening across Georgia. Here are some tips by Alison Doyle, a job search expert, to help maximize your opportunities at the different events.

Dress for Success: Dress in professional interview attire, carry a portfolio, and wear comfortable shoes.

Bring Supplies: Always have multiple copies of your resume, additional pens, a notepad and business cards that include your name, email and phone number.

Check Out Companies: Many job fairs and expos will advertise on their website which employers will be attending. Check out the different companies' websites prior to the event so you are knowledgeable going into an interview.

Say Thank You: Don't forget to send a brief thank you note or email to those you have interviewed with or met at the job fair.
