Atlanta Public Schools Receive Technology Grant

Atlanta Public School has been the awarded an educational technology grant worth $25,000.
Trend Micro, a global pioneer in security software and solutions, has contributed a total of $300,000 to twelve schools across the nation to help educate and prepare student for technology-focused careers of the future. The program called Internet Safety for Kids and Families also encourages a generation of safe, reponsible digital citizens.
"Trend Micro is proud to award these 12 schools with our Educational Technology Grant to equip the leaders of tomorrow with the resources they need to navigate social media and leverage technology for their benefit," said Lynette Owens, global director, Internet Safety for Kids & Families Program, Trend Micro. "It is rewarding to have he opportunity to education students about responsible online behavior, and how they can use technology to expand their horizons and fulfill professional aspirations."
