Pasha Souvorin teaches video production at Phoenix High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, which is a non-traditional high school of choice for Gwinnett County Public Schools. He asserts that the best part of his job is watching students build confidence as they set their own goals, choose their projects, and ultimately take responsibility for their own learning by using online tutorials to overcome the challenges they will face along the way. Pasha describes his job as preparing students to be lifelong learners in a world where almost any knowledge is a few clicks away on a handheld device.

Pasha was selected as a 2015 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator for his passion and commitment to innovative teaching practices that integrate digital media and technology in the classroom. Over the next year, he will take part in a yearlong professional development program and will serve as a digital learning ambassador in his local school and community.
