GHSA 4A Final: Cartersville vs. Thomson Football Fridays in Georgia
Future Clemson QB and #1 overall NFL draft pick Trevor Lawrence passed for 196 yards and 2 TD’s as top ranked Cartersville routed unbeaten Thomson 58-7 in the state 4-A championship game. Trey Creamer scored four TD’s for Cartersville. The defense was equally impressive creating seven turnovers as the Purple Hurricanes won their 30th straight game and second state title in a row.
