On day 17, the House cooks up a hilarious debate on “possums.” Sen. Lindsey Tippins (R-Marietta) announces he will not seek re-election. Tippins, a former Cobb County Education commissioner, moves two controversial Cobb County map bills to the committee, despite Democratic opposition. And Sen. Clint Dixon introduced SB 461, which passed unanimously, limits on granting bail to human traffickers.
