Captain Judy Helmey is a legendary figure who has been a powerhouse on these waters since she was just five years old. From being the youngest captain on the coast to her legendary father's work with Al Capone, Captain Judy's tales are as colorful as they are captivating.

Chef Dave Snyder is the culinary mastermind behind Halyard’s Restaurant Group on St. Simons Island (Halyard’s Tramici, La Placha & Hal the Food Truck). Beyond his kitchen prowess, Dave is an ardent advocate for coastal conservation, serving on numerous panels and committees dedicated to preserving the region's delicate ecosystems.

Laura Solomon is the innovative co-founder of Tybee Oyster Company, Georgia’s first floating oyster ranch. As an educator at the Tybee Island Maritime Academy, Laura shares her passion for sustainable aquaculture and the importance of educating the next generation about our coastal heritage.

Bryan Fluech, Associate Director of Extension at UGA Extension & Georgia Sea Grant, brings his extensive knowledge in marine extension activities and fisheries. With a deep commitment to the stewardship of Georgia’s coastal resources, Bryan offers insights into the ongoing efforts to protect and sustain our precious marine environments.
