GPB Education is thrilled to announce the addition of Claw Control to our popular GASHA GO World games and animations for kids ages 4-8. The game leverages engaging characters and fun challenges to build kids’ foundational computer science (CS) skills. To help the Gashlings make stuffed animals to fill the claw machine, Claw Control encourages kids to break complex problems into smaller parts, known in the CS world as decomposition.
Georgia Public Broadcasting and PBS KIDS have joined forces to launch the free PBS KIDS STEAM Kits at home to encourage playful learning amongst families. Just like you, we know the best way to help young children learn is to give them a chance to learn and discover in different ways.
PBS KIDS named Georgia teacher Alison McClain as one the 2021 honorees of the PBS KIDS Early Learning Champions program. The awards, established in 2018, recognize and celebrate passionate educators who work with the nation’s youngest students, from infants to second graders. The education team at Georgia Public Broadcasting is excited to announce the re-launch of our Mobile Virtual Reality (VR) Lab, an initiative made possible by the Imlay Foundation. The Mobile VR Lab is equipped with 48 Oculus Go virtual reality headsets that transport students to virtual environments without leaving the classroom. With our class set of VR headsets, each student can experience virtual reality firsthand.

C-SPAN's StudentCam competition returns for its 18th year engaging students across the country in a project-based learning experience. This year's theme — “How does the federal government impact your life?” — asks students to explore a federal policy or program and evaluate its effectiveness from multiple perspectives. C-SPAN and its cable and satellite television partners invite middle and high school students to enter the documentary contest, which awards $100,000 in cash prizes.
