Delta Air Lines kicked off its 100th anniversary at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The airline’s appearance at the annual tech show featured a keynote speech, partnership announcements, and a performance from Grammy Award-winning artist Lenny Kravitz.
“Delta’s appearance at the tech event commemorated a century of groundbreaking aviation milestones and the airline’s commitment to innovation all powered by people,” Delta said in an official press release,
As a part of Delta’s presentation, CEO Ed Bastian delivered a keynote, highlighting how new technology allows Delta to continue to serve those traveling.
“New marvels like AI, the digital revolution, and sustainable technology are giving us incredible tools to transform the travel experience,” Bastian said during the keynote. “But amid the wonder of new technology, we’ve always understood that the entire point of innovation is to lift people up.”
The second section of the keynote featured Qualtrics cofounder and chairman Ryan Smith and Jeanie Brady, a Delta flight attendant, joining Bastian to discuss “how customer feedback shapes the future of travel” as a part of their introduction of Delta Concierge.
Per the release, Delta Concierge is a digital tool built into the Fly Delta app that “uses generative AI to create seamless and personalized moments while making a customer’s journey easier — almost like a personal assistant.”
Other new additions outlined in the keynote included the following:
- A single customer itinerary connected through partners allows customers to link their Uber and SkyMiles accounts, earning miles for rides and deliveries;
- Introducing a cloud-based flight entertainment system featuring expanded content like YouTube;
- Continuing to build on its partnership with Airbus that allows Delta to operate Airbus jets.
The presentation attendees were also welcome to a virtual pilot training experience, and an introduction to the new Delta Locals travel planning platform.
In addition to the presentation inside the Sphere, the Sphere’s exterior was transformed into a display representing the destinations to which the airline flies.
